Blaine County Sheriff’s Office Deputies Jordan Kranz, left, and Ted Carsley guide Carey resident Reagan Ruckle, 3, down a ramp during Ketchum’s annual Bike Rodeo in the south YMCA parking lot on Saturday. The free event, designed to teach kids about bike safety, included obstacle courses, helmet fittings, safety checks, snacks and prizes. Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Andrew Shiers, not pictured, told the Express that the agency, which distributed bike helmets for free during the event, received donations to pay for most of the helmets and covered the cost of the rest to make sure any young biker without a helmet received one.
